There are a range of free tools for encouraging good thinking practices and higher order thinking available online.

 

This workshop assumes an understanding of the value and purpose of embedding higher order thinking into the curriculum. We will provide a range of options that you might provide for students to use.

Looking at the Intel Tools

  • Use the links above to go to the Intel Thinking Tool called the VISUAL RANKING TOOL
  • In teams - Login using the username and password you will be given - it will be one of the following: bubbha1, bubbha2, bubbha3, bubbha4 (with the password being the same as the login (Several people will work at one computer. The decisions will need to be a collaborative effort.)
  • Click and drag the boxes according to your thoughts around the prompting question.
  • Click on the top right hand corner of each box to explain your reasoning
